About Strata Live
Strata Live brings the 12 Strata landscapes to life as seamless video loops: stars twinkle, the aurora ripples, light sparkles on the lake, fog drifts between the hills, clouds slide past and a flock of birds crosses the sky. Each loop runs 8 seconds and joins back on itself, so it plays forever without a jump.
What you get
- 12 desktop loops at 3840 × 2160 (4K, 16:9), MP4 (H.264), 30 fps.
- 12 phone loops at 1290 × 2796, MP4 (H.264), 30 fps.
- 24 MP4 files, from 0.4 to 4 MB each, named by scene and size.
The scenes
Dawn, Dusk, Night, Mist, Desert, Lake, Aurora, Autumn, Glacier, Forest, Violet and Noon.
How to use them
- Windows: any video wallpaper app, for example Lively Wallpaper (free) or Wallpaper Engine.
- Mac: macOS has no built-in setting for video wallpapers, so you need a video wallpaper app from the App Store.
- Android: a video live wallpaper app from the Play Store.
- iPhone: iOS only animates Live Photos, so convert the MP4 with a video-to-Live-Photo app first.
- They also work as ambient background videos on a TV, a second monitor or in a stream.
Good to know
- These are videos, not static images. Want stills? The original Strata pack has all 12 scenes as 4K PNGs.
- Generated and drawn in code, then checked by hand. No AI image or video generators were used.
- For personal use on your own devices. Not for resale or redistribution.
