A newsletter website with a sponsor calendar and a signup form that talks to Kit, Mailchimp, Buttondown or Substack.

About Broadsheet

Broadsheet is a website template for newsletter writers. A front page that looks like a paper, an archive of every issue, readable issue pages, and a media kit where sponsors pick open dates and send you a booking request. The signup form talks straight to your newsletter tool.

Good for

  • Writers on Kit (ConvertKit), Mailchimp, Buttondown, Substack or beehiiv who want their own site
  • Newsletters that sell sponsorships or classifieds
  • Podcasts and small media brands with a weekly schedule

Pages

  • Front page: masthead with volume and issue number, signup, reader numbers, the latest issue, recent issues, letters from readers, a sponsor call-out and the editor
  • Archive: every issue from the Issues CMS with number, topic and date
  • Issue: the full letter (rich text from the CMS), signature, a signup box and more issues (6 example issues included)
  • Sponsor: audience numbers and breakdown bars, open dates and rates, past sponsors, a quote and an enquiry form
  • About and 404

Two working components

  • Subscribe: one email field (optionally a name) that sends to Kit, Buttondown or any webhook (Zapier, Make) directly, to Mailchimp through its signup endpoint, and to Substack through a hidden form. beehiiv only accepts its own form without a private API key, so for beehiiv it shows your beehiiv embed. Success, error and invalid-email states, and a Demo mode that sends nothing.
  • Ad Slots: your upcoming send dates as a sponsorship calendar. Placements with prices (e.g. Main sponsor, Mid-issue, Classified), booked dates or issue numbers, multi-select with a running total, and a booking button that opens your email, form or payment link with the dates, placement and total filled in.

Also

  • Desktop, tablet and phone layouts with a phone menu
  • Gloock, Literata, Geist and Geist Mono, with colours and text styles in one place
  • Scroll-in animations and hover states

Good to know

  • Subscribe sends addresses to the newsletter service you choose; Framer doesn't store them. Kit and Mailchimp need your form ID or form action URL, both found in their embed code.
  • Ad Slots doesn't take payment or block dates automatically. You list booked dates in the component and confirm bookings yourself.
  • Demo images are from Unsplash; the newsletter, numbers and sponsors are made up.
  • You get a remix link to the full Framer project.
