About Latchkey
Latchkey is a free website template for a small guesthouse or B&B that takes bookings itself. Guests see what their stay costs before they write, with seasonal rates and minimum stays, and the enquiry arrives with the room, dates and quoted total.
What you get
- The full Framer project with 4 page types: Home, a page per room (CMS), Enquire and 404
- 2 CMS collections: 6 sample rooms (rates, high-season rate, sleeps, extra guest fee, minimum and maximum nights, cleaning fee, blocked dates, photos, features) and 6 reviews
- Latchkey Quote (code component): nights, high and normal season nights, extra guests, a weekly discount, cleaning fee and the total. Checks minimum and maximum stay, room size and blocked dates, and suggests the next free run of nights. A room menu on Home, the room's own CMS numbers on each room page
- Latchkey Request (code component): shows the quoted stay at the top of the Enquire form and sends it as hidden fields: Room, Check-in, Check-out, Guests and Quoted total
- A working Framer form on Enquire with sending, success and error states
- Accessible phone menu. Desktop, tablet and phone layouts. Satoshi and Geist Mono
Good to know
- Hollin House is a made-up guesthouse; its rooms, prices, reviews and blocked dates are invented. Photos are from Unsplash
- The quote is a price estimate from the rates you type in. It takes no payment, holds no room and doesn't read a live calendar: blocked dates are a list you keep up to date yourself, in the CMS and in the quote on Home
- Enquiries go through Framer's built-in form. You choose where they arrive in the form settings, and you confirm every stay by email. Form limits depend on your Framer plan
- One currency and one tax line per site. Prices are per room per night; taxes and city fees are text, not calculated
- One room per quote. No multi-room bookings, channel manager, calendar sync, payments, dark mode or second language. No Privacy page
- A free Framer account can remix and publish it on a Framer subdomain; a custom domain needs a paid Framer plan. Two CMS collections, so it fits the Basic plan
