About Mutual
Mutual is a free portfolio template for product and UX designers looking for their next role. Before a recruiter writes, they check the role against your terms on the page: level, contract type, remote, hybrid or on-site, team time zone, start date and an optional budget. Each check comes back Match, Talk or Not a fit with a one-line reason, and "Send me this role" opens the contact form with the role already filled in.
What you get
- The full Framer project with 5 page types: Home, a page per case study (CMS), About, Contact and 404
- 2 CMS collections: 6 sample case studies (problem, role, team, timeline, platform, 3 outcome metrics, process text, 3 images with alt text and a Next Case field) and 5 Experience entries
- Mutual Fit (code component): level, contract type, remote, hybrid or on-site with office cities and relocation, team time zone and hours, start date and an optional budget, checked against the terms you set. Shows the working-hours overlap in both time zones and flags daylight saving shifts. Your pay floor is never printed unless you turn Show Floors on
- Mutual Brief (code component): shows the checked role at the top of the Contact form and sends it as hidden fields: Level, Type, Where, Team zone, Start, Budget and Fit
- Mutual Status (code component): online or offline, and when you are back in the visitor's own time, with the roles you are open to and from when
- A working Framer form on Contact with sending, success and error states
- Accessible phone menu. Desktop, tablet and phone layouts. Alt text on every image, one h1 per page. Satoshi and Geist Mono
Good to know
- Maren Ottesen is a made-up designer; her employers, case studies, numbers and quotes are invented. Photos are from Unsplash, and no real company logos are used
- The fit check compares the visitor's choices with the terms you type into the component. It is a guide, not a filter: every role can still be sent
- One currency per site, no currency conversion. Time-zone overlap uses the browser's time-zone data, assumes a Monday to Friday week and reads no calendar
- Mutual Fit and Mutual Status have separate settings; keep your hours, levels and start date the same in both
- Messages go through Framer's built-in form. You choose where they arrive in the form settings. Form limits depend on your Framer plan
- The CV button links to a file you add yourself (in the demo it points to the Experience section). No blog, dark mode or second language
- A free Framer account can remix and publish it on a Framer subdomain; a custom domain needs a paid Framer plan. Two CMS collections, so it fits the Basic plan
